Octopus Surf School has been teaching the “art of standing on waves” on Goa’s beginner-friendly Morjim Beach since 2012. Lessons run from the S2 Beach Shack, which provides showers, restaurant service, and rooms for travelling surfers.

Morjim’s gentle rollers, shallow sandbar and minimal hazards create the perfect playground for new surfers. Instructors speak English, Hindi, Russian and Malayalam, and every session covers ocean awareness, safety, paddling and pop-ups before hitting the water.
